She was the first gynaecologist to practice exclusively fetal medicine & Gynec Imaging in the state of Andhra Pradesh & Visakhapatnam. Fetalmedcine is about the study and treatment of the fetus with in the womb. This is evolving new specialty where the fetus is treated as a patient either jointly or separately from the mother. The diagnosis and management of the fetus therefore requires expertise to be developed outside the traditional boundaries of obstetrics and Neonatology. GYNAECOLOGICAL ULTRASOUND
Gynaecological ultrasound is an ultrasound assessment of the female pelvis, focus mainly on the uterus and the ovaries, although other structures may be seen.
Gynaecological Ultrasound is used to diagnose and help in the treatment of many health issues related to women like irregular periods, abnormal bleeding, possible fibroids, difficulty conceiving, suspected ovarian cyst, screening ovarian & uterine cancer
Scans
NT scan
An NT scan is a common screening test that occurs during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Growth Scan
A Growth Scan is normally done, between 28 – 32 weeks of pregnancy, to check the development of the baby in the third trimester.
Tiffa scan
This scan is done between 18 - 22 weeks of pregnancy to detect any congenital abnormalities in the growing fetus.
